World Stroke Day | That One Minute Changed His Life

The answer is C.

World Stroke Day

Today is the 20th World Stroke Day.

This year's theme is:

Every Minute Counts. Know the signs of stroke. Act FAST.

Every second counts: recognise stroke, act fast.

But before we get to "every second counts," there is one thing we would rather remind you of —

Don't wait for that one minute before you start caring about your own health.

Stroke is not just something that happens to older people

WORLD STROKE DAY

In the public imagination, "stroke" seems to belong exclusively to the elderly.

But the reality is —

1

   The average age of stroke onset in China is falling steadily, with a clear trend toward younger patients;

2

   Stroke incidence among people aged 35 to 55 has risen by more than 30% over the past decade;

3

   China records more than 3 million stroke cases each year and around 1.2 million deaths, some of them among middle-aged people;

4

 Many people have no obvious symptoms at all before their first episode.

In everyday life, our blood vessels carry pressures we cannot see:

1

   Long hours sitting at a desk, late nights at work, frequent social engagements;

2

   Greasy food and too much sugar;

3

   High stress, high anxiety and insufficient exercise;

4

   Excess weight and slightly elevated blood pressure or blood sugar, brushed aside as "nothing serious."

Layered on top of one another, these lifestyle factors quietly alter vascular elasticity and disrupt lipid metabolism, eventually laying the groundwork for stroke.

Doctors often say:

"Stroke looks sudden, but it is in fact the outcome of chronic metabolic imbalance."

In other words —

It is not "sudden"; it is the accumulation of long-term metabolic fatigue and vascular damage.

We simply tend to notice it far too late.

Blood lipids carry the "unexploded signals" of the brain's blood vessels

WORLD STROKE DAY

Many people believe that "high blood lipids are only a heart problem," but that is not the case.

Abnormal blood lipids are an important indicator of cerebrovascular health.

When bad cholesterol (LDL-C) in the blood rises and triglyceride (TG) and fatty acid metabolism fall into disorder, plaque slowly accumulates on the inner walls of blood vessels. Over time, blood flow is obstructed, the blood supply to the brain diminishes, and stroke risk quietly climbs.

What is more insidious is that these changes are often missed in a routine check-up:

1

   Conventional lipid panels only capture TC, LDL-C, HDL-C and TG;

2

   Key metabolic pathways such as fatty acid metabolism, energy metabolism and oxidative stress levels are usually left untested;

3

   A normal check-up result does not mean there is no underlying risk.

In other words, the body has been "quietly sounding the alarm" for a long time — we simply have not noticed.

LipidVoyage™ makes risk "visible earlier"

WORLD STROKE DAY

LipidVoyage™

uses NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopy: a single tube of blood completes a full-spectrum lipid test and a panoramic metabolic analysis, helping you detect potential risks earlier.

1

   Conventional lipid testing only "reads the surface"; LipidVoyage™ lets you see "the whole picture";

2

   It delivers more comprehensive and more finely detailed lipid and metabolic information;

3

   It provides a precise basis for health management, scientific intervention and lifestyle optimization.

Health management has no age limit.
The earlier you understand your body's metabolic state, the more initiative you can take over the future.Stroke is not a sudden strike of fate, but the long-term product of lifestyle, metabolic balance and vascular condition acting together.

We cannot predict tomorrow, but we can start today.
One test can give you and your family an extra measure of reassurance and prevention.
On World Stroke Day, 29 October,

let us start with "blood lipids" and safeguard the lifeline of the brain.

— LipidVoyage™: making prevention one step earlier, and care better grounded in evidence.
