The value of health screening lies in helping people better understand their own physical condition. Every screening is an opportunity to listen to your body, making it clearer which areas need improvement and which habits need to change.Health experts at ProteinT, headquartered in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, note that the lungs, stomach, liver and cardiovascular system are vital organs. Regular systematic screening helps detect risk factors early and prevent problems before they occur. Cancer screening of vital organs is a proactive anti-cancer measure: by actively testing when there are no unusual symptoms, the goal is to detect early-stage cancer and precancerous lesions and achieve early detection, diagnosis and treatment. In cardiovascular screening, blood-lipid testing acts like a magnifying glass. Detecting dyslipidemia and monitoring changes in lipid levels helps assess the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and guides physicians in active prevention and treatment.ASCVD — including coronary heart disease, cerebral thrombosis and peripheral arterial stenosis — develops insidiously and silently damages cardiovascular health. Dyslipidemia is the principal driver of atherosclerosis, with hypertension, smoking, diabetes and obesity as contributing factors. Detecting and treating dyslipidemia early can prevent or delay disease progression. To support systematic screening, ProteinT recently launched related products that use blood and urine tests to deliver precise analysis and risk detection, enabling earlier health intervention. Among them, ELISA™-ProEn provides organ-wide risk assessment from a single blood test, covering lung, gastric, liver and cardiovascular risk.

Recently, the Shanghai Clinical Testing Quality Control Center announced the results of the first external quality assessment (EQA) of 2025. The Septin9 gene methylation testing project submitted by Tianjin Baikang Hexin Medical Laboratory — ProteinT＇s independent clinical-trial window — was fully consistent with the expected standard and passed the assessment. In recent years, liquid-biopsy technology has been increasingly used in the early screening, efficacy monitoring and recurrence assessment of tumors. Septin9 gene methylation, as a specific molecular marker of early colorectal cancer, has become an important auxiliary diagnostic tool. Passing this EQA fully demonstrates ProteinT＇s comprehensive strength in testing technology and quality control. ProteinT will continue to pursue excellence and continuously improve its laboratory capabilities to provide higher-quality, more credible testing services to clinicians and patients.About Tianjin Baikang Hexin Medical Laboratory. It is ProteinT＇s independent clinical-trial window, a national high-tech enterprise and a for-profit medical institution approved by the Health Commission. It is equipped with an Illumina NextSeq 500 sequencing system, Thermo Fisher Q-Exactive+/HF and AB SCIEX 4500 mass spectrometry systems, and a Bruker Avance III IVDr NMR spectrometer, with a total value exceeding 90 million RMB. It has served more than 100 tertiary hospitals and research institutes, with over 100,000 samples accumulated.

On June 10, 2025, Professor Li Jie, Founder and CEO of ProteinT (Tianjin) Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Lu Jianfei, head of NMR business, visited the Xi＇an Regional Medical Testing Center (＂Xi＇an Medical Testing＂). Dr. Yan Hua, Vice President of Xi＇an Medical Testing, introduced the operation of its intelligent clinical testing laboratory, which fully leverages ＂Internet+＂ technology to build an AI platform, realizing intelligent operation across the entire process from sample sorting, testing and review to storage and re-testing.The delegation also visited the NMR spectroscopy metabolomics analysis platform, clinical microbiology laboratory and clinical molecular laboratory, and highly affirmed Xi＇an Medical Testing＇s innovative exploration of precision diagnosis and disease management based on multi-omics technologies.During the discussion, Professor Hao Xiaoke, Chief Scientist of Xi＇an Medical Testing, and Director Li Li welcomed the delegation. The two sides discussed the strategic cooperation of a ＂Clinical Liquid NMR Innovation Alliance,＂ aiming to jointly promote the clinical application of NMR spectroscopy in chronic-disease screening, metabolomics, intelligent diagnosis and medical AI integration, and to build a ＂standard + sample + computing power＂ trinity of NMR clinical-application infrastructure and a multi-party NMR innovation ecosystem.

The second episode of the first season of the ＂ProteinT Cup＂ Health Science Popularization Talent Show will go live on May 27 at 4 PM. Five shortlisted science-popularization videos will compete for the monthly championship. Audiences can participate interactively through on-site voting, and the voting results will form part of the selection. Everyone is welcome to scan the QR code to watch.

From the establishment of the proteomics research system, to the grand launch of the “Human Proteome Navigation Program (π-Hub),” and on to its in-depth exploration in the field of human disease analysis, every technological first and breakthrough has injected momentum into the rapid development of proteomics. In April 2024, the “Creation of the Proteomics System” led by Academician He Fuchu was the first to propose and realize the new paradigm of “proteomics-driven precision medicine,” and was included in “Important Medical Achievements of China in the 21st Century”, demonstrating that proteomics has become one of the few important disciplines in Chinese medicine and life sciences that develop in step with the international community. To deepen the integration of proteomics with clinical practice and break down the barriers to the clinical application of proteomics, the Proteomics Committee of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (CNHUPO), in collaboration with the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Clinical Multi-omics, will grandly hold the special forum on “Clinical Admission of Proteomics” in Tianjin on July 6, 2024.The forum will invite experts from various fields within the industry chain, including translational research, clinical research, registration, admission and regulatory oversight, equipment manufacturers and industrial investment, to hold roundtable discussions around the core topic of “Clinical Admission of Proteomics,” deeply analyzing the frontier progress of proteomics and its key challenges in clinical application from multiple dimensions and unique perspectives. Experts and scholars are cordially invited to share this grand event, join hands in promoting the clinical admission of proteomics and jointly open a new era of precision medicine.Forum Agenda
